Situé en première ligne, face à la Loire entre Saumur et Angers, notre gîte de groupe offre un accès direct aux rives paisibles du fleuve royal. Une escapade parfaite pour les amoureux de la nature et ceux en quête de tranquillité à seulement 10 km de la charmante ville de Saumur.
Cette demeure exceptionnelle se distingue comme l'un des rares meublés de tourisme classé 5 étoiles dans le Maine-et-Loire. La particularité de proposer cinq chambres avec accès et sanitaires privés sur une surface totale de 265 m2 en fait un gîte de groupe unique à Saumur.
Profitez d'une piscine étincelante, nichée dans un authentique troglodyte offrant une vue imprenable. Plongez dans un moment de détente et de rafraîchissement tout en admirant le paysage façonné depuis tant d’années.

We undertook the transformation of Logis Escale into a gîte with a deep respect for its history and the environment. Committed to sustainable development, we have worked with craftsmen from the Maine-et-Loire region to preserve its authenticity. During your stay at Logis Escale, discover all the comforts of a modern residence within ancient walls.
Our commitment to eco-responsibility

We enjoyed designing the interior of the five-bedroom gîte using bio-sourced materials to create a warm atmosphere, with many details restored, transformed and reused.


And then there's the creation of a semi-troglodyte swimming pool: surrounded by tufa stone walls out of sight, the pool will provide you with relaxation and refreshment between April and the end of October. The pool is heated to 28°C between mid-May and the end of September.

The different room configurations

Logis Escale offers 5 large rooms with private bathrooms.


The rooms are spread over the 3 levels of the gîte:1 large bedroom on the ground floor with 5 single beds1 double room on the first floor with a king-size bed for 2 people2 double rooms on the second floor1 quadruple room on the second floorEach room has its own access.All rooms measure between 17 and 33 m2.


If necessary, all the beds can be separated into single beds to accommodate people who know little or nothing about each other (residential seminar or training course) LINK
Only the ground floor bedroom is accessible to people with reduced mobility. There are no barriers between the room and the bathroom, and the shower is on the same level.

Logis Escale is a group gîte for up to 15 people. We have already provided a comfortable bed for each guest. 

Bringing mattresses or other extra beds is neither necessary nor permitted.

We do not accept pets in our accommodation for reasons of hygiene and goodwill towards our neighbours.

The pool is suitable for swimming children, who remain under the full responsibility of their parents.Access to the pool is secured by a barrier and two gates. We explain how they work when you arrive at the gîte.

Is there special equipment for babies and young children?

The Logis Escale group gîte is open to all ages. The rooms are large enough to accommodate a cot. We provide 2 cots, a high chair and a booster seat.


The courtyard is enclosed and access to the swimming pool is secure.
However, there are some stairs that require special supervision for young children.

The Maine-et-Loire really is a destination for families, with a wide variety of activities ranging from history to culture and nature.


The group gîte provides direct access to the banks of the Loire for walks and discovering the fishing and forestry areas around the Joreau pond (regional nature reserve).


Just a few kilometres away in the direction of Saumur, you'll find playgrounds and various riding stables.


In bad weather or heatwave, visit the troglodyte world at Pierre et Lumières or the village of Rochemenier. A visit to the Bioparc at Doué-la-Fontaine will delight all generations.
